Yesterday on the Ellen DeGeneres show, First Lady Michelle Obama revealed her senior prom dress. Back in 1982, Mrs. Obama (then Robinson) attended her senior prom with her first boyfriend David Upchurch wearing a gold silky floor length dress. During her video chat with Ellen she also noted that it was a little risque.
“That split was a little high. I don’t know if I’d let my kids go out in a split that high, so let’s not show this to Malia and Sasha,” stated Mrs. Obama.
Mrs. Obama was featured on the show to discuss her work with military families and was shown via satellite while visiting a military base in Florida. Ellen also surprised the military children with prom dresses! Fun times!
