Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s headband caused quite a commotion last night. On Twitter, politicos and fashionistas debated whether she should have wore an “informal accessory” to such a ceremonial event as the State of the Union. The thin black headband was accented with rhinestones and added some sparkle and shine to the Secretary’s black pantsuit. This isn’t the first time Sec. Clinton has donned a fashionable headpiece – she was spotted in early January wearing a silvery headband at the funeral for Czech President Vaclav Havel. Doesn’t this debate remind you of the 90′s when then first Lady Clinton came under fire for wearing headbands and was constantly criticized for her outfits. Sigh. When will it ever stop.
What do you think? A fashion do or don’t for Secretary Clinton?
